Nexodyn® is made in Switzerland. Our principal partner, Applied Pharma Research (APR) from Switzerland has been on the market for more than 28 years.
Nexodyn® is been commercially available since 2015. First launched in Italy as Amuphase®. And now it is available in Europe, US, Africa, and now is available in Asia.
What is Nexodyn® made of?
Nexodyn® is an Acid Oxidizing Solution (AOS) and contains more than 95% of hypochlorous acid (HClO), with unique patented properties, such as
LOW pH between 2.5 and 3.0
HIGH Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) 1,000-1,200 mV
Hypochlorous acid (HClO) is a known antimicrobial agent acting as a preservative by inhibiting the growth of micro-organisms within the solution, as well as preventing wound contamination by exerting a local antimicrobial effect on the wound surface.
LOW pH and HIGH Oxidation Reduction Potential ORP reinforce the antimicrobial activity of Hypochlorous acid (HClO)
What does it mean ACTIVE acid oxidizing solution?
Nexodyn® shows to be active on the microbial' biofilm matrix. A biofilm is any group of microorganisms in which cells stick to each other on the surface. Due to its ability to disrupt the structure of the biofilm, Nexodyn® maximize the efficacy of removing local barriers to healing, at the same time minimize harm to wound tissue.

How the PH level will affect the wound healing?
Healthy skin has a slightly acidic pH, ranging from 4.0 to 6.3. The chronic wound generally has an alkaline pH, ranging from 7.15 to 8.93.
Research shows that an alkaline pH in the wound bed can contribute to creating an unsuitable environment for wound healing by encouraging the growth of pathogenic bacteria.
In contrast, an acidic wound bed can stunt pathogenic bacteria growth and keep the wound bed microenvironment in check and moving toward the desired healing trajectory.
An acidic pH can improve the tissue oxygenation, which is an essential condition for successful wound healing.
Most wound beds are predominately alkaline; however, an acidic wound bed has a positive influence on wound healing.
Which type of wounds can be treated with Nexodyn®?
Nexodyn® has board indications for a wide range of wounds:
Acute and chronic wounds (e.g. diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, lower leg ulcers, vascular ulcers), post-surgical wounds, cuts, abrasions, burns and basically every lesion.

Is Nexodyn® safe to spray around mouth, nose, ears & eyes?
Yes. It is safe for use around mouth, nose, ears & eyes. Furthermore, it is safe if ingested in small amounts. Nexodyn® is non-toxic and it doesn’t cause any harmful side effects.

For how long can a wound be treated with Nexodyn®?
Thanks to the highly safety profile, Nexodyn® can be used as long as necessary until the wound has better control or is completed healed under medical supervision.
Is Nexodyn® compatible with any type of dressing pad?
Nexodyn® can be used with or without dressing and it is compatible with all dressings available in the market.
How to use Nexodyn®?
Nexodyn® is a spray solution and the spray applicator is included in the package.
At each application, the whole lesion area should be abundantly sprayed with Nexodyn® and allowed to dry a couple of minutes (usually around 2 minutes). No rinsing required.
A second application can be consecutively repeated, if necessary.
Shortly after last cleansing with Nexodyn®, standard therapy can be applied as required.
